In my opinion, Plymouth Rooftop Bar & Grill strikes the right balance between comfort and class. The food is satisfying, the drinks are refreshing, and the overall experience is one that beckons you to return. If you find yourself in the Loop this Thursday, Friday, or Saturday, be sure to pay a visit—trust me, the mango margarita with Tajin is a must-try!

“ Came here for a solo happy hour and had a great experience. The outside is a little sketchy but there was a police car posted so I didn't feel unsafe. You can take the stairs or the elevator up to the rooftop. It's a very "no frills" type of place don't expect anything trendy or fancy. The happy hour margarita wasn't that great but the waitress recommended a mango margarita with Tajin that was excellent! The cheese curds came out piping hot and were delicious. The service couldn't have been better, my waitress was fantastic. I would return! ”
“ A good rooftop restaurant in the loop with a great happy hour. The food portions are huge and with 50% of appetizers for the happy hour they make a great meal! The service is alright, they got the order wrong but we still enjoyed it and they were kind about it. Overall a good experience. ”
“ This may be one of my new favorite bars! The atmosphere is awesome, rooftop vibes, love the big Chicago painting in the back. It also kind of feels like a speakeasy the way you have to take elevator or stairs up. Service is soooo fast. Food was out in 5 minutes even during the busiest time. Staff is very attentive as well. The Mac and cheese bites are sooooooo bomb. Comes with a spicy aioli type of sauce which was perfect. Portions are huge for appetizers. The chicken strips are also amazing, comes with 6 strips. Cant wait to come back here! ”
“ Great good, great drinks, great staff, and most importantly fast service! Definitely recommend to check this place out if you're out in downtown area! Happy hour has great prices from 4pm-6pm half off appetizers with a purchase of a drink?! I'm in! Check out Plymouth guys, you wont regret it! ”
“ Da ROOF!!! really nice bartender and a beautiful space!!! I had a strawberry Long Island that was really tasty nicely balanced between boozy and sweet!!! Also the view is stunning and looks like a scene out of a film. Sit at the bar and watch... ”
“ After eating and enjoying drinks here, I am convinced that this is the ideal way to enjoy the evening in Chicago. There is (or was) a lower level piano bar on the main level. We wanted to go to the rooftop on the 4th floor, so we didn't spend much time looking into that. But, how cool. You take an elevator (or the stairs, if you're feeling athletic and your wife isn't wearing heels). It's a small elevator, so consider that if you're concerned about sharing a confined space with strangers. Step out of the elevator or stairwell, and you end up in a spacious, open air dining level. There is a roof in case the elements don't cooperate. Find a seat along the edge so you can drink in the city. On this evening, the weather was perfect, with a mild breeze. The usual precautions apply here (masks until seated, servers with masks the whole time). Drinks arrived quickly; the mojito was weak, but tasty. Food also arrived quickly. The grilled chicken sandwich is a basic (but tasty) sandwich. The chicken panini is seasoned in a Mediterranean style...very nice. One thing to watch for is the 18% gratuity on the bill. You can add a tip if you want, but watch out so you don't leave a 38% tip by mistake after having a few drinks. Definitely worth a return trip. ”
